What are HOOP Days?
MNASE HOOP Days are tournaments with a 1-day arrangement for youth basketball in the Saint Cloud Area. Coaches, players, and fans will undeniably love the format of the tournaments because it allows for families to plan their weekend without contributing all of their time to tournaments that consume their entire weekend. All teams play 2-3 games, this allows for their next day to be completely free and allows families, to not have to worry about traveling a second time to the hosting facility. There are several reasons that we have decided to host tournaments that last for only one day, however the main 3 reasons include: more family time, less travel and less financial contributions such as hotel rentals and gas. MNASE HOOP Days Tournaments We currently host tournaments in Saint Cloud, MN with goals to host in different cities that have Universities.
When are HOOP Days Tournaments?
HOOP Days Tournaments are name by the month and the day that they will be held, for example a HOOP Day Tournament that is held on April 2nd will be name HOOP Days 402. They are held during the months of April, May, June, July and August with a Finale, invite only tournament held in July or August. Tournaments that are held for HOOP Days will always be name HOOP Days followed by a single digit that represents that month and a double digit that represents that day in which it will be held. The reason that we have decided to name our tournaments in such way is to ensure that their will be no confusion as to what day the tournament is being hosted, in turning making it easier for everyone to remember the date just by the name of the tournament.
Why host tournaments at State Universities and Colleges?
We would like to offer players an opportunity to potentially play on the big stage of sports while also contributing to the colleges who help shape out future leaders. This gives us both the opportunity to host and maintain an event that last for one day as well as the desired amount of parking space for participants and spectators.
The best thing about the HOOP Day Tournaments is that we offer competitive rates for teams to participate as well as offer an end of the season invite tournament for teams that place first place throughout the HOOP Day Tournaments. Teams that place first in our tournaments will be invited to compete against other teams that have place first place for a chance to be name the current years HOOP Day Finale Champions in our “Battle of the Champions” Tournament.
Why should my team participate in the HOOP Day Tournaments?
Games will be recorded and broadcasted as well as uploaded to our MNASE YouTube Channel, Social Media update for teams that place 1st , 2nd and 3rd on all our social media platforms including Facebook, X (previously known as Twitter), Instagram and Snapchat. HOOP Day Tournaments hosted throughout the months of April, May, June and July. HOOP Day “Battle of the Champions” Tournament for all first-place winners will be hosted in August. Games will also be reviewed for proper tracking of stats and uploaded 72 hours after the conclusion of the game, stats will be emailed to coaches and uploaded in our newsletter. What is the “Battle of the Champions” Trophy?
A trophy designed by MNASE to represent top teams that participate in our youth sports tournaments. These teams do not have to be native to Minnesota to participate and/or compete. The trophy consists of all the 1st place teams in the HOOP Day tournaments for that division and the Champion of their Division placed at the Top of the trophy. This trophy is displayed each year at each HOOPS Day Tournament for a consecutive 4 years. This trophy will also be displayed on our website’s home page as well as uploaded on our social media sites.
