Elite Mammoths - Travel Basketball

March – June | Competitive Spring & Summer Program

Elite Mammoths is MNASE Basketball League’s premier travel basketball program. This program is designed for athletes who are ready for structured competition, disciplined coaching, and a higher level of accountability both on and off the court.


PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Elite Mammoths provides a competitive travel basketball experience centered on development first, competition second. Athletes are placed in environments that challenge skill, decision-making, and mental toughness while reinforcing teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

This program is not recreational. It is intentional, structured, and performance-driven.

Elite Mammoths is ideal for athletes who:

  • Want structured coaching and competitive games

  • Are ready for travel tournament environments

  • Can accept coaching, feedback, and accountability

TOURNAMENT & COMPETITION FORMAT

Elite Mammoths teams participate in competitive weekend tournaments throughout the spring and early summer.

Competition Standards:

  • Organized tournament play

  • Certified officials

  • Enforced rules and sportsmanship expectations

  • Exposure to varied competition styles

Tournament schedules and locations are shared in advance.


EXPECTATIONS & COMMITMENT

Elite Mammoths requires a higher level of commitment than in-house or recreational programs.

Athlete Expectations:

  • On-time attendance at practices and games

  • Coachable attitude

  • Respect for teammates, officials, and staff

  • Effort and accountability at every event

Parent Expectations:

  • Support program standards and decisions

  • Communicate respectfully

  • Adhere to MNASE conduct policies

This program is a partnership between athletes, families, and MNASE staff.


UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT

  • Team uniforms are required

  • Athletes must bring proper basketball shoes and water

  • Additional gear requirements will be communicated prior to season start

REGISTRATION & TRYOUTS

Elite Mammoths athletes are selected through evaluations or tryouts.

Registration Process:

  1. Register through Sports Connect

  2. Attend scheduled evaluation/tryout

  3. Receive placement notification

  4. Complete team onboarding

Spots are limited to maintain quality and development standards.

Is Elite Mammoths a year-round program?
No. Elite Mammoths operates from March through June.

Is playing time guaranteed?
Playing time is earned through effort, attendance, and execution of team concepts.

Can athletes play school basketball as well?
Yes. Elite Mammoths is designed to complement school basketball, not replace it.

Are tryouts required?
Yes. Evaluations ensure appropriate placement and competitive balance.

Is travel required?
Yes. Tournament participation may require regional travel.

Registration Listing

2026 Elite Mammoths Spring/Summer Basketball Team

ALL ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND TRYOUTS/ EVALUATION TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A PLACEMENT ON A MNASE BASKETBALL TEAM.

Tryout registration should be completed so that we may have the players tryout jersey completed, they may pick up their tryout number before entering the gym, if you do not have a tryout number you will not be allowed to enter the gym, only coaches and players are allowed in the gym during tryouts.

Tryouts will be held sometime in the month of March at Faith Christian School in Foreston, MN. Tryouts will be held on Saturday between the hours of 12pm and pm. Tryouts will be held for 105 minutes (1 hour and 45 minutes) per group, athletes are required to attend a minimum of 1 tryout.

9U Tryouts will be held first followed by 11U and 13U. Players must tryout with their current division before attempting to play up in a division. This means that all 9U players must tryout for 9U before they may attend tryouts for 11U and/or 13U.

Player Invites to join the team will be sent out between March 27th and March 29th, players must accept their position on the team as well as pay the participation fee. We offer installation plans where the cost of participation is billed monthly.

All players must also attend a minimum of 2 training sessions during the season, these training sessions will be at a discounted rate and to help develop players individually. Training sessions will be scheduled during the weekend where we are not participating in a tournament.

We will be entering into a minimum of 5 tournaments for the 2026 Spring/Summer Season, as well as hosting a End of the Season Ceremony for players of our organization.

Majority of the team tournaments will be played in Minnesota; based on leagues approval and coaches selection, with an exception to some tournaments being played in neighboring states such as Wisconsin.
