COACHING OPPORTUNITIES

Head Coaches & Assistant Coaches

MNASE coaches are responsible for instruction, leadership, and athlete development within our programs.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading practices and game-day instruction

• Teaching fundamentals and team concepts

• Setting behavioral and effort standards

• Communicating clearly with athletes and families

• Supporting MNASE policies and program goals

Ideal Candidates:

• Experience coaching or playing basketball

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Commitment to athlete development and safety

Coaches must complete required onboarding steps prior to participation.

OFFICIALS & GAME OPERATIONS

Referees, Scorekeepers & Event Staff

Officials and game operations staff ensure fair play, safety, and efficient event execution.

Roles Include:

• Referees/Officials

• Scorekeepers

• Timekeepers

• Court Monitors

• Event Coordinators

Expectations:

• Knowledge of basketball rules (role-dependent)

• Professional conduct and decision-making

• Punctuality and preparedness

Training and guidance are provided where applicable.

PROGRAM & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

MNASE relies on behind-the-scenes support to operate smoothly.

Support Roles Include:

• Program Assistants

• Facility Liaisons

• Check-in and registration staff

• Communications support

• Media and livestream assistants

These roles are essential to maintaining organized, positive events.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers help strengthen MNASE programs and community engagement.

Volunteer Roles May Include:

• Event support

• Setup and breakdown assistance

• Athlete check-in

Volunteer roles are supervised and aligned with MNASE safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS & ONBOARDING

To ensure safety and professionalism, all staff and volunteers must complete onboarding requirements.

Requirements May Include:

• Background check

• Role-specific training

• Concussion awareness (for applicable roles)

• Agreement to MNASE policies and code of conduct

All requirements are communicated clearly during onboarding.
